From Dolgellau follow the A493 in the direction of Tywyn. As you enter Penmaenpool, pass the turning on the right to the toll bridge for Barmouth and continue along the A493 through the village. You will pass along a narrow section of road which does not have a centre white line. Just as the road widens and the centre white line appears again is a row of stone cottages on the left – Pen Glan is number 7 at the far end, with a layby opposite with a post box, a phone box and a bus stop. There is space for two cars in the driveway of the property, and we recommend reversing in. You can also park in the layby opposite.
